Outage alerts provide information about the occurrence, status and resolution of power outages affecting your electric service. You can choose to receive alerts by email, text message or phone based on your preference.

What to expect

Outage not reported or known by customer:

  • WPS will send a proactive outage alert if your property experiences a power outage that exceeds 20 minutes.
  • The outage alert will include: Service address of the outage, estimated restoration time (ERT), number of customers affected, cause of outage and restoration crew status.
  • An update notification will be sent if the estimated restoration time changes by more than 60 minutes.
  • A final restoration message will be sent when all meters impacted have been successfully restored.

Outage reported by customer:
